Who is organizing the conference? What are its aims? 6. Are papers being solicited? 1. Where is the conference located? Campus Lockdown will take place at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. All events except lunch will be in the University Club, on the first floor of the Michigan Union (Google Maps; campus map). Lunch will be in the Anderson Room as well as the University Club. Both rooms are on the first floor of the Michigan Union. The nearest airport is Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW). 2. Where can I find lodging? Here is a link to the Ann Arbor accommodations guide. If you are in need of low-cost lodging, please specify this on the registration form and we will try to arrange couch or futon accommodations for you. 3. Where are nearby restaurants? Ann Arbor restaurants. 4. I need to make arrangements for assistance or accommodations. Please specify the accommodations or assistance needed on the registration form. Be sure to send the form to us by February 29, 2008. 5. Who is organizing the conference? What are its aims? Campus Lockdown is organized by undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Michigan. Its aim is to promote dialogue on the politics of women of color scholarship in a post-Proposal 2 environment. 6. Are papers being solicited? Papers are not being presented at Campus Lockdown. Rather, the conference is intended as an organized community forum space. We encourage all attendees to contribute to the day's ongoing conversations.
